Launching Analysis in Government Month 2022
The second Analysis in Government (AiG) Month will take place throughout May 2022 with the theme of #AnalysisCollaborate
Successful collaborations are the key to great working relationships and thatās why this year weāll build on last yearās AiG Month (which had a theme of āAnalysis Connectā) by exploring the brilliant things we can achieve by working collaboratively.
Head of the AF and National Statistician Professor Sir Ian Diamond told us why he thinks collaboration is so important and encourages all analysts to get involved with the event –Ā Get ready for Analysis in Government Month!.
You can expect more insightful people stories, engaging events, interviews with senior leadersā¦ plus weāve even got an Evaluation Day and a Hackathon that you can get involved with.
Thereās nothing better than bringing together different skills from diverse teams and weāre super excited to celebrate AiG Month with analysts from across government and beyond.
Donāt miss our launch event on Tuesday 3 May.
Whatās coming up in AiG Month?
AiG Month will include events, talks and activities covering interesting and useful content, and enabling you to connect with analysts from all different departments, grades and professions.
COMING SOON: Keep checking this page for our AiG Month previewā¦ coming soon.
Inside the minds of our senior leaders
- Analysis Function Leader Q&A: During the month, weāll share insightful Q&A from senior leaders where weāll ask pertinent questions affecting analysts across government, but also tackle the really important issues like sconesā¦ jam or cream first?!
- Desert Island Discs: Head of the AF Sir Ian Diamond chooses eight recordings, a book and a luxury item that he would take if he were to be cast away on a desert islandā¦
Challenge Analysts
- We will be hosting a joint AF Hackathon session with the Government Data Science Festival on 9 and 10 May. Analysts will get the opportunity to work on research questions over the two days in collaborative groups (across departments and professions), ready for a feedback session with some expert analysts.
Book your place onĀ the Government Data Science Festival booking platform.
Collaboration opportunities
Linking Analysis in Government Month with theĀ Policy Profession FestivalĀ in May, we want to help people working with policy and with data analysis to develop those connections and grow your networks across government.
Coffee Connect during May will randomly match an analyst and policy professional, and pairings will be encouraged to find a 30-minute slot throughout the month for an informal coffee and catch up.
Complete the super-shortĀ Coffee connect for analysts and policy professionals formĀ by 5pm on Wednesday 20 April.
